About Life in a Stroke

Life in a Stroke is a Website, Blog and YouTube channel to share stories and experiences of those suffering from and thriving after a stroke. Though this community is for many others too.

Our mission for patients and families is to demystify what Life in a Stroke means and to help them navigate what can be a confusing and scary future for everyone - while also giving hope for so many.

We also recognise that for many, life can be unrecognisable after a stroke. Family and friends can be severely affected - and even for those who are fortunate enough to survive, many grieve for the life that the stroke left behind. For those, we want to share hope, compassion, and where possible, to help people understand how to to create a future worth living for themselves and their loved ones.

Each year, many more people experience Life in a Stroke in one form or another - so our aim is to include valuable learnings from those involved in stroke medicine, care, rehabilitation and innovation too.

By understanding common causes and helping prevent strokes, and providing the fastest and most advanced stroke healthcare, in the immediate aftermath of a stroke, and in the following weeks, months and years, the massive personal and societal effects of Stroke can be managed and minimised.

Join us on this journey to help us all navigate Life in a Stroke.
